Explain how the following have been used to increase the power of the states relative to the federal government.

Block grants and the tenth amendment have increased power of the states in relativity to the federal government. Block grants have increased the power because it establishes that powers that aren't given to the national government, belong to the states or the people. A block grant is a large amount of money granted by the national government to a regional government. Block grants allow regional governments to find different ways to spend money with the same intentions in mind.
